Lava Xolo A800 launched

Infibeam on Friday has launched Android Smartphone Lava XOLO A800 on its website. This is available for just Rs. 11,999. XOLO A800 being Dual SIM is compatible for both GSM and CDMA networks.

Many Smartphones have entered the market but this new invention of Lava has rocked all the mobile stores. This mobile is no less than a tablet as it gives 4.5 inch IPS LCD Capacitive Touch Screen with a display resolution of 960 x 540 pixels.  As it’s an Android OS 4.0 ICS based Smartphone it is powered by 1GHz Dual Core processor.

Samsung Galaxy Grand Duos

Pictures of two new Samsung Galaxy smartphones have been spotted in the wild. There have been rumours in regards to the Korean handset maker working on Samsung Galaxy Grand Duos and Galaxy S II Plus and both these smartphones were caught on camera going through China's TENAA certification process.

Both Samsung Galaxy Grand Duos and Galaxy S II Plus are expected to feature Android 4.1 Jelly Bean.

According to Unwired.com Samsung Galaxy S II Plus is expected to feature a 4.3-inch WVGA display, dual-core 1GHz processor, 8-megapixel rear camera with flash, and a 2-megapixel front-facing camera. Earlier reports had indicated the Galaxy S II Plus will come with Android 4.0, 4.52-inch qHD display, 1.5GHz dual-core processor, 8-megapixel rear camera and 16GB of internal storage.

Leaked BlackBerry images show iPhone influence

Leaked images purporting to show the next BlackBerry handset show a full touchscreen device more in line with flagship handsets from RIM's competitors Apple and Google.
The images, published on Vietnamese technology news site Tinhte.vn, appear to show the handset codenamed BlackBerry London, which is due for release early next year. The handset will be the first to run BlackBerry 10, the next version of the BlackBerry operating system

From the pictures, the BlackBerry London looks to have a minimalist industrial design similar to that of Apple's iPhone 5. The back is textured and it appears to have mini-HDMI and microUSB ports, as well as a microSD slot and removable battery.

The BlackBerry London is expected to be unveiled along with another BlackBerry model at a launch event on January 30, 2013. The new images are consistent with earlier leaked pictures showing both devices, which were originally scheduled for launch this year.

LG Optimus G2 Reportedly Coming With 5.5 Inch Display to Set Aside Galaxy S4

Following the successful launch of Google branded LG Nexus 4, which borrows some features from Optimus G, the South Korean smartphone vendor has definitely regained its lost foothold in the smartphone arena and has come out as a competitor to all the biggies in the market including Samsung. 





Now, LG is reportedly prepping a superior package that can surge the mobile space - successor of Optimus G with better specs on board. According to a recent report by Korean website Asian Economics, Optimus G2 will sport a 5.5 inch 1080p display with 440 ppi pixel density. Recently, HTC has announced the global version of Droid DNA and J Butterfly dubbed as Butterfly with a 5 inch 1080p display. Also, companies including Samsung, Huawei and many others are working on such devices that will be launched in 2013. The report also states that Optimus G2 will hit the retail shelves in the first half of next year, which is when Samsung is also reported to launch its upcoming flagship smartphone - Galaxy S4. Going on lines of an earlier report by MK Business News, LG Electronics is in talks with its subsidiaries including LG Display and LG Innotek and will reportedly launch a new smartphone with the likes of 1080p high definition display, Android 5.0 Key Lime Pie and quad core 2GHz processor. 

Optimus G2 to set aside Galaxy S4 When speaking of the global smartphone arena which is dominated by Samsung, Apple, HTC and others, LG may not be the first choice for many consumers, but if the South Korean tech giant manages to release a flagship smartphone with AMOLED display with 440 ppi pixel density, there are chances that it could create a surge in the market. As far as Optimus G2 is concerned, there is only little information about the smartphone is known so far including its display, operating system and processor. However, these are only rumors and they are not confirmed by LG. If these rumored specs turn out to be true, Optimus G2 could become a pontential rival to Samsung Galaxy S4, which is also rumored to come with similar specs during Q2 2013. Detailing on Samsung Galaxy S4, the handset boasts a 5 inch AMOLED HD display along with 1920 x 1080 pixel resolution, 441 ppi pixel density, 2GHz quad core Cortex A15 processor, 13MP rear camera, Android 5.0 Key Lime Pie and 16GB/32GB/64GB/128GB internal storage options. Futher, Galaxy S4 is speculated to be unveiled during the Consumer Electronics Show (CES) 2013 or Mobile World Congress (MWC) 2013 events early next year and released in April/May. Hence, if LG launches Optimus G2 with such advanced features as in Galaxy S4, the handset could definitely set aside the Samsung offering in 2013.
