Huawei MediaPad 7 Lite And MediaPad 10 ICS Tablets Launched In India

Huawei, the Chinese manufacturer has launched its two new Android 4.0 ICS tablets in India, namely the MediaPad 7 Lite and MediaPad 10. The Huawei MediaPad 7 Lite is encased within a metal unibody shell, and runs on a Cortex A8 1.2GHz processor. Sporting a 7-inch, 1024 x 600, IPS, multi-touch, 1080p HD screen, the MediaPad 7 features a  3.2 mp rear camera and a 0.3 mp front camera. For connectivity, this tablet has support for 3G and WiFi cellular. Priced at a moderate price of Rs. 13,700/- , the MediaPad 7 is immediately available at stores  such as Croma and Reliance Digital or on online portals like Flipkart.

The tablet’s elder brother called the Huawei MediaPad 10 is a quad-core tablet featuring a Cortex-A9 1.4GHz quad-core processor and a 10.1-inch, 1920 x 1200 px, 16:10 ratio, IPS display which is just 8.8mm thin. What we really liked is that the rear camera on this tablet is an autofocus 8 mp that records 1080p HD videos, while the front one is a 1.3-megapixel. And along with that you get a 5.1 Dolby surround sound through the dual speaker design. For connectivity, coupling the WiFi and 3G versions, is the support for 150Mbps LTE (compatible with 84Mbps HSPA+). Though the company boasts of a 6,600mAh battery that provides for more than 10 hours of continuous usage, only reviews can vouch for that in the coming days.
Interestingly, the keyboard add-on brings the possibility of converting the MediaPad 10 FHD into an Ultrabook, because you also have the VGA, HDMI ports and Ethernet access via a USB adapter cable to come-in handy. The price of this new gadget in town isn’t revealed yet, but it should be out by December, during which we are expecting its release date.
